Concept for Dust & Uchronic WWII

To try new things is doubtless the best way to evolve. Here is a concept sketch for a Mecha cockpit with integration of a model (1/48) with a photoshop background.
The Walker in front of him is a 1/48th scale model.

D-Day - Revised Diorama for Dust… In Progress IV

Some new work on the D-Day Diorama… I added some elements, boxes & fuel cans, which were aged and used. Trains of replacement caterpillars where also add to give more details to the diorama.
Additions of grass and soil were made to hide some imperfections. And to finish this stage, I stuck nets on cans.
There is a ''Silent Death'' Steel Guard Sniper in a picture…

D-Day - Revised Diorama for Dust… In Progress III

Working grass with some Vallejo pigments (Green Earth). The Dust bunker was stuck on the cliff and some grass with pigment glued to hide the joint.

D-Day - Revised Diorama for Dust… In Progress II

After some work on the sand (see the second picture) I began to work on the grass and the reliefs. I just positioned the Dust bunker (see my others post in february) to determine the good place. Holes and striation in the ground are made with some glue which reacts with the polystyrene… the biggest challenge being not to dissolve totally the ground. Just a little glue, spread it and draw motives feigning the sand.
